What could one outage cost?
Without CCS / your current setup
With CCS / illustrative recovery scenario
What if a tested recovery plan cut downtime and lost-work recreation in half? The CCS bar illustrates that hypothetical 50% reduction, not measured CCS performance or a recovery promise. Virus or ransomware remediation may be a separately chargeable project, including during business hours. Project charges are not estimated here and are excluded from the CCS bar. Actual recovery costs may be higher. Monthly fees and other out-of-scope charges are additional.

What changes with a CCS plan?
| Preparation | Current setup | With applicable CCS services |
|---|---|---|
| Early warning | Your existing monitoring | Ongoing system monitoring and maintenance |
| Threat response | Your existing response plan | Configured device isolation to help contain detected threats |
| Recovery | Your usable backups and recovery plan | Whole-machine image backups, file or system restores, and cloud recovery options where included |
| Support | $200/hour comparison assumption | Routine covered calls and tickets included 8–5 Central on business days. Virus or ransomware remediation may be treated as a separately chargeable project, including when recommended safeguards or guidance were not followed. Charges depend on scope and the service agreement; after-hours, holiday and project work may be billed separately. |
How the estimates work
Lost productivity = affected employees × employee hourly cost × disrupted business hours. Break/fix labor = technician hours × $200. Lost-work recreation = combined employee recreation hours × hourly cost. The illustrative CCS scenario uses the same employee count and hourly cost, half the entered downtime and recreation hours, with remediation project charges excluded because they require assessment. A zero amount in the calculation does not mean remediation is free. The 50% reduction is a what-if assumption, not a benchmark or prediction. Device counts describe your environment; they do not multiply the outage cost.
Do not count the same hours as both idle time and recreation time. Excludes hardware, lost sales, ransom, legal and notification costs, and permanent loss of irreplaceable data. Productivity cost is a planning proxy, not necessarily additional payroll expense. CCS pricing and recovery goals require an assessment and agreement. This is not a security audit, quote or recovery guarantee.
