THE COST GOES BEYOND THE RANSOM

What would a lost workday
cost your business?

$1.7 million was the average recovery cost reported in Sophos’s 2026 ransomware research. The survey covered 2,158 IT and security leaders at organizations hit by ransomware in the preceding 12 months. It is a surveyed-victim average, not a forecast for your company or a measure of savings from CCS.

A smaller business can still face lost work, missed orders, rebuilding systems, and recovering records. Monitoring, endpoint protection, and usable backups provide different layers of protection and recovery. No service eliminates every risk.

Salary sources, benefit context & what to include

Salary presets: BLS May 2025 national medians for computer support specialists and network and systems administrators. Median means half earned more and half earned less.

For context, BLS June 2026 employer compensation data reports benefits at 30% of total private-industry compensation—not 30% of salary. This broad benchmark is not specific to IT and is not used as a calculator multiplier.

Paid vacation, holidays, and sick time are already covered by an annual salary. Consider the need for coverage during absences, but do not add that salary again. Add only incremental recruiting, training, and tools costs. Bonuses or other costs can be included in your applicable inputs. Results use salary plus the entered recurring costs; first-year totals also include one-time hiring costs.

Questions about working
with CCS?

Here are a few things businesses ask before getting started. Have a different question? Call 888-442-4933.

How is CCS different from other MSPs?

CCS combines nationwide support with a personal approach built on serving businesses since 1993 and providing remote monitoring since 2004. We work with commercial organizations of all sizes and across industries.

We earn your business through service rather than requiring standard service contracts; certain specialized backup offerings require an agreement. We also help you purchase hardware directly from manufacturers, with no CCS hardware markup.

Already have internal IT? We work alongside your team, typically handling backups, antivirus and endpoint protection, and monitoring so they can focus on employees, tickets, and desktop issues.

Can you support our business if we are in another state?

Yes. CCS supports commercial customers across the United States using remote monitoring and assistance for supported internet-connected systems. We work with individual offices, distributed teams, and businesses with multiple locations.

Some issues require physical access or replacement equipment. We discuss those needs separately and confirm onsite availability for your location.

Can you work with our existing IT person or department?

Absolutely. In a typical co-managed arrangement, CCS handles backups, antivirus and endpoint protection, and system monitoring. Your internal team has more time for support tickets, desktop problems, and the daily needs of your employees.

We agree on responsibilities and access permissions together. This relationship can help maintain continuity during absences and staffing changes while keeping your internal team involved.

Do we have to sign a service contract?

Our standard approach is not to require a service contract to work with CCS. We want customers to stay because they value our service.

Certain specialized backup offerings require a separate agreement. We explain applicable service terms, billing arrangements, and any agreement requirements before you choose a service.

Does 24/7 monitoring mean we should call anytime?

Our system monitoring runs 24/7/365. Routine support and new-business conversations are handled during our 8 a.m.–5 p.m. business hours. An on-call team is available for urgent customer needs outside those hours.

Continuous monitoring and staffed support are different. We discuss support arrangements and escalation procedures as part of your service setup.

Do we have to buy our computers and servers from CCS?

No. We help specify the right equipment and simplify the purchase, while you buy directly from the manufacturer. There is no CCS markup on the hardware.

Equipment can ship directly to your business or to our office. If you choose preconfiguration, we prepare the agreed setup and ship it to you ready to plug in and get started. Configuration and other service arrangements are discussed separately.

Can backups protect us from ransomware?

Backups can help restore affected data after an incident, but they do not stop ransomware from reaching a device. Endpoint protection, updates, monitoring, and a recovery plan work together to help reduce risk and prepare for disruption.

Recovery depends on the available backup copies, retention, configuration, and systems involved. We discuss the protection and recovery options included in your selected service, rather than promise zero data loss or instant recovery.

Do you only work with large companies or certain industries?

CCS serves commercial organizations of all sizes. Our customers span healthcare, financial services, manufacturing, construction, retail, education, professional services, and other industries.

The services listed here are examples, not a limit on what we can help with. Tell us about your business and we will discuss the right fit. Our focus is commercial IT rather than residential computer service.

Do you charge for support calls or tickets?

For customers on CCS services, calls and support tickets are not charged separately under their service coverage. Work required outside our 8 a.m.–5 p.m. business hours, work on holidays, and project work are billed separately.

How much does CCS cost?

Pricing depends on your devices, locations, existing IT staff, and the services you need. Contact us for a private proposal based on a defined scope.

Our internal-IT cost calculator is a planning tool, not a CCS quote or a promise of savings. We can help you compare the responsibilities and coverage you need, whether you want fully managed or co-managed support.

CCS · SERVICES FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Managed IT & proactive monitoring

An IT partner for the systems your business depends on.

How we can help

Keep small issues from becoming everyday interruptions.

Slow computers, unexpected server alerts, and recurring network problems take time away from your business. CCS brings monitoring and ongoing maintenance together so your technology gets attention between support calls—not just when someone reports a problem.

A closer look at the service

Workstations and servers
Review system health, available resources, and supported hardware or software alerts to help identify conditions that need attention.
Updates and maintenance
Plan supported operating-system and application updates around your business needs, with maintenance arrangements agreed in advance.
Networks and remote locations
Monitor supported network equipment and connectivity so your IT picture extends beyond a single office.
Your team or ours
Use CCS as your managed IT provider or let us handle monitoring, backups, and endpoint protection alongside your internal IT staff.

How we work with you

We start by discussing your users, devices, locations, and existing systems. Together, we define what will be monitored and maintained, how issues are handled, and how your team reaches support. Monitoring runs 24/7/365; routine support is provided during business hours, with on-call assistance for urgent customer needs.

Monitoring, in everyday terms

Think of monitoring as keeping an eye on the health of your business technology—even when nobody is sitting in front of it. Our monitoring runs 24/7/365 and watches supported systems for signs of trouble, such as low disk space, a server becoming unavailable, or a backup that did not complete.

Those signals help us identify issues that need investigation, sometimes before a user notices a problem. Monitoring does not mean every problem fixes itself or that a technician is actively watching every screen. It gives our team information to investigate and decide what needs to happen next.

If you have internal IT, CCS can handle that monitoring alongside backups and endpoint protection, giving your team more time for employees, support tickets, and desktop issues.

Support without a charge for every call

For customers on CCS services, calls and support tickets are not charged separately under their service coverage. Work required outside our 8 a.m.–5 p.m. business hours, work on holidays, and project work are billed separately.

CCS · SERVICES FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Cybersecurity & network protection

Layered protection that helps reduce business risk.

How we can help

Protection takes more than installing antivirus.

A business needs to consider its computers, servers, network perimeter, updates, and recovery options together. CCS helps put those pieces into a practical security approach, without making your staff manage every tool themselves.

A closer look at the service

Endpoint protection
Help protect supported workstations and servers against malware and suspicious behavior, with the response capabilities available in your selected service.
Firewall support
Plan and maintain business firewall configurations, including SonicWall environments, around your connectivity and access needs.
Reduce avoidable exposure
Keep supported software updated and review security-related issues as part of the agreed service scope.
A recovery perspective
Coordinate security with your backup planning. Protecting a device and recovering business data are related responsibilities, but they are not the same service.

How we work with you

We review your existing protection and discuss the systems and business risks you want to address. The plan defines responsibilities between CCS and your staff, the tools and services included, and how concerns are escalated. Security reduces risk; it cannot guarantee that an incident will never occur.

Antivirus and device isolation, in everyday terms

If a computer shows signs of a security threat, you want to keep that problem from spreading. CCS configures endpoint protection to isolate a device when a detected threat triggers the configured response policy.

In practical terms, the affected computer is cut off from normal network communication to help prevent it from infecting other devices. The supported management connection remains available so CCS can access the isolated device remotely, investigate, and work on remediation.

It is similar to closing a door around the problem while keeping a controlled way for the technician to reach it. Isolation may interrupt the employee’s normal network access. The exact response depends on the detected threat, the supported device, and its configuration; no protection detects or stops every attack.

CCS · SERVICES FOR YOUR BUSINESS

Backup & business continuity

Prepare for data loss before it interrupts your business.

How we can help

A backup matters when you need your business data back.

Accidental deletion, equipment failure, and ransomware can all interrupt access to important information. CCS helps you plan what to protect, where backups should be kept, and what recovery needs to look like for your business.

A closer look at the service

Choose what matters
Identify the supported systems, files, and business information that need protection, along with priorities for restoring them.
Monitor backup jobs
Watch for failed or interrupted backups so issues can be investigated rather than leaving an unchecked process running in the background.
Plan your recovery
Discuss retention periods, available recovery points, recovery testing, and the time and dependencies involved in restoring your selected systems.
Match the protection to the need
Review cloud and onsite options and ask about additional isolation or specialized backup requirements. Availability and configuration are confirmed for the service you choose.

How we work with you

We scope backup coverage with you before setup and define who handles alerts and restore requests. Backup storage, testing, retention, and recovery capabilities depend on your plan. Certain specialized backup services require a separate agreement. No backup plan should be treated as a promise of zero data loss or instant recovery.

Backups and recovery, in everyday terms

We plan for more than recovering a few documents. CCS’s complete-system backup approach protects the information needed to recover the whole supported machine—its operating system, applications, settings, and business data—not just selected files. Think of it as a recoverable image of the system, with coverage confirmed when we set it up.

Need one file back? We can recover individual files from available backups. If a machine fails or its system is damaged, we can use the backup to restore the full system instead of starting from scratch and rebuilding everything by hand.

What if the building is damaged? When the selected recovery service and workload support it, we can restore the system to a cloud server. That provides a recovery option if a fire or other building damage makes your original equipment unavailable.

Whole-system and cloud recovery depend on backup coverage, usable recovery points, compatible systems, connectivity, and the recovery arrangements in your service plan. Recovery is a process—not a promise of an instant switchover—and we discuss those needs with you before an emergency.
